Hundreds of millions of dollars in federal rental assistance funds remain untapped. That means that while the funding is going unused, apartment building owners, operators and managers continue to confront the challenge of non-paying residents as the federal eviction moratorium lingers amid court challenges.
But help is available for your residents.
Hamilton County Commissioner Denise Driehaus said that millions of dollars in rental assistance funds are available from the American Rescue Plan through the following links:
The Community Action Agency of Cincinnati/Hamilton County can also assistant residents and apartment owners and managers through an application available on the agency’s CAA Emergency Rent Assistance 2021 website.
Another helpful tool is The Rental Assistance Finder designed by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), which can help residents and housing providers find their local program and apply for assistance.
